This Privacy Policy explains how MCOP collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit the MCOP website, submit a form, register as a delegate, or otherwise interact with our programs. This Policy is intended to be read alongside our Terms of Service.

MCOP works primarily with high school and college students, and some participants are minors. We design our data collection to be as minimal as possible for a first touch (e.g. short interest forms), and we rely on schools, educators, and parents/guardians to help ensure appropriate consent is in place before a minor shares personal information with us or participates in a program. 2.1 Information you provide to us

• Delegate Interest Form: name, school/institution, grade or year, contact details, and areas of interest.
• Academic Institution Form: institution name, contact person, role, email, and phone number.
• Brand Collaboration Form: organization name, contact person, role, email, and a brief description of proposed collaboration.
• Patron Collaboration Form: organization/individual name, contact details, and area of interest in patronage or funding.
• Any additional information you choose to share with us, such as in emails, position papers, or event registration.

2.2 Information collected automatically

Standard website usage data such as pages visited, browser type, device information, and approximate location, typically collected via cookies or similar technologies and/or our website hosting/analytics provider.

2.3 Information from partners

Where schools, NGOs, or partner organizations register participants on their behalf, we receive the information they submit and treat it in accordance with this Policy.

• To process delegate applications, program registrations, and partnership/sponsorship inquiries.
• To communicate with you about MCOP programs, Regional Rounds, the Global Summit, and related opportunities.
• To coordinate with schools, educators, NGOs, and policy networks involved in delivering MCOP programs.
• To improve the Platform, our content, and our outreach materials.
• To showcase delegate impact, testimonials, and program outcomes (e.g. on LinkedIn, Instagram, or X), where appropriate consent has been obtained.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect the safety of participants, particularly minors, at MCOP events.

We do not sell personal information. We may share information:

• With schools, educators, or guardians connected to a specific delegate's participation.
• With NGO, IGO, Knowledge Partner, Hosting Partner, or Patron-tier organizations involved in delivering or supporting a specific MCOP program, on a need-to-know basis.
• With service providers who help us operate the Platform (e.g. website hosting, form/email tools), under confidentiality obligations.
• Where required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process, or to protect the safety of a participant.
• In connection with a reorganization of Change Is Us/MCOP, provided the recipient continues to honor this Policy.

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to remember preferences, understand site usage, and improve the Platform. You can usually control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some site functionality.

We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, for example, for the duration of your participation in an MCOP cycle and a reasonable period after, for record-keeping, alumni engagement, and reporting to partners — unless a longer retention period is required by law or you request earlier deletion.
